國家體育總局局長茍仲文：中國運動員會在北京冬奧會上爭金奪銀

Citing effects from a cross-sports talent development program, China's sports minister is confident that Team China could do the nation proud at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing by qualifying for all events and bringing home a record medal haul.
國家體育總局局長茍仲文表示，經(jīng)過多個項目的人員培訓，2022年北京冬奧會的時候，在冬奧會的賽場上，我們中國運動員要參加所有的項目的比賽，并力爭取得好成績。

Gou Zhongwen, head of the General Administration of Sport of China, said on Friday that necessary measures and cooperation have been put in place to build a competitive national team capable of vying with the world's best in winter sports and making breakthrough results at the home Olympics in 2022.
茍仲文說，經(jīng)過第一階段的擴面工作，我們體育界是有信心做到為北京2022年冬季奧運會提供堅實的人才基礎，力爭要超歷史最好成績。

"To make the 2022 Winter Olympics a great success, it's not just about making smooth organization for the Games but also achieving the best possible athletic results at the event," Gou said.

科學技術部部長王志剛：人工智能不再是實驗室中的內(nèi)容

China will continue reforms to streamline administration, allowing them to focus on their research and create new innovations to benefit society, Wang Zhigang, minister of science and technology said on Friday.
科學技術部部長王志剛表示，我們將在政策制度上使我們的科研人員不為行政事務所困擾，真正用科研來回報社會，真正把時間用在科研活動上。

China will expand international cooperation in researching artificial intelligence, as well as tackling new social and ethical challenges posed by the new technology, Wang said.
我們希望國際社會加強人工智能技術研究以及應對由此產(chǎn)生的社會、倫理新問題方面的交流合作。

Scientists have been researching artificial intelligence for more than 60 years, but people are now concerned about the technology due to its impact on social governance, ethics, and personal privacy, said Wang.
人工智能發(fā)展60多年來，大家現(xiàn)在有一些擔心，人工智能對社會治理、倫理道德、隱私保護等方面會有什么影響。

"Now AI is not just confined to the lab, it has entered society," he said, adding the technology has intertwined with laws, ethics, and social morality. Development in AI technology also is faster than that in laws, ethics, and public governance, he added.
現(xiàn)在人工智能已經(jīng)不再是科學家實驗室中的內(nèi)容，而是開始走向社會、走向應用，和法律、社會公德、倫理聯(lián)系上了。人工智能技術發(fā)展走在前面，法律規(guī)范、社會公德、社會治理方式相對滯后，要加快跟上。

國務院港澳事務辦公室主任張曉明：澳門經(jīng)濟適度多元發(fā)展

The central government will give unwavering support to Macao for its transition to a more diversified economy, said Zhang Xiaoming, director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.
國務院港澳事務辦公室主任張曉明表示，中央政府全力支持澳門經(jīng)濟適度多元發(fā)展。

Macao has pushed ahead with the plan to transform Macao into a world-class tourism and leisure center, and a commerce and trade cooperation services platform between China and Lusophone countries, Zhang said.
澳門特別行政區(qū)政府并且正在推進世界旅游休閑中心建設、中國和葡語系國家商貿(mào)服務平臺的建設。

The central government has an unquestionable role to maintain national security, including that in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, director of the State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office Zhang Xiaoming stressed.
張曉明強調(diào)，維護國家安全，包括香港特別行政區(qū)的安全，是依法履行中央人民政府應有的權(quán)力和應盡的義務。

It is impossible for the central government to turn a blind eye to acts that jeopardize national security in Hong Kong, as the SAR is an inalienable part of China, Zhang said.
他表示，香港特別行政區(qū)是中華人民共和國不可分離的部分，中央不可能對待香港發(fā)生的危害國家安全的行為不聞不問。
