The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), convened from Oct 15 to 21, 2007, passed a resolution on the amendments to the Party Constitution, which enshrined the scientific outlook on development. Also at this congress, ecological civilization was put forward for the first time as a new requirement for China to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
2007年10月15日－21日，中國共產(chǎn)黨第十七次全國代表大會舉行。大會通過《中國共產(chǎn)黨章程（修正案）》，把科學(xué)發(fā)展觀寫入黨章。大會第一次把建設(shè)生態(tài)文明作為實現(xiàn)全面建設(shè)小康社會奮斗目標的新要求提出來。
