A school of mechanical, battery-powered robots in the shape of fish will be released into a Spanish port to help monitor pollution there. The 1.5m-long robots, made by robotics experts from the University of Essex, will be equipped with sensors to detect oil slicks spilled from ships or other contaminants pumped into the water from underground pipes.(See photo)
近日，科學(xué)家們計劃向西班牙某港口投放由電池驅(qū)動的機器魚，以監(jiān)測水中污染物。這種機器魚由英國埃塞克斯大學(xué)研究人員制作，每條長約1.5米，身上裝備傳感器，可發(fā)現(xiàn)輪船泄漏的燃油或地下管道排放的化學(xué)污染物。(見圖)
