一、歷史進程

The Silk Road is the most well-known trade route in ancient China. It got its name as silk comprised a large proportion of commodities transported along this road. The Silk Road extended from Chang'an, the ancient capital of China, to countries as far as India and Roman Empire. It came into being during the Han Dynasty and reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty. And camels were the major means of transportation. The road was not only an ancient international trade route, but also a cultural bridge linking Asia with Africa and Europe.

二、發(fā)展建設(shè)

人類社會正處在一個大發(fā)展大變革大調(diào)整時代。4年來，全球100多個國家和國際組織積極支持和參與“一帶一路”建設(shè)。人文交流也是“一帶一路”建設(shè)的重要組成部分，各國都在努力建設(shè)“絲綢之路”和“健康絲綢之路”。今年5月，習(xí)近平主席在“一帶一路”國際合作論壇開幕式上致辭時表示，中國政府將每年向參與該倡議的國家提供1萬個政府獎學(xué)金名額。

Humankind has reached an age of great progress, great transformation and profound changes. Four years on, over 100 countries and international organizations have supported and got involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. People-to-people exchange has also been an important part of this initiative, with participating countries pulling every effort to build the Silk Road and the health Silk Road. Every year, the Chinese government will provide 10,000 government scholarships to countries participating in the Initiative, according to President Xi Jinping, who spoke at the opening ceremony of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in May.

三、經(jīng)濟貿(mào)易

2014年至2016年，中國同“一帶一路”沿線國家貿(mào)易總額超過3萬億美元。中國對“一帶一路”沿線國家投資累計超過500億美元。中國企業(yè)已經(jīng)在20多個國家建設(shè)56個經(jīng)貿(mào)合作區(qū)，為有關(guān)國家創(chuàng)造近11億美元稅收和18萬個就業(yè)崗位。中國同“一帶一路”建設(shè)參與國和組織開展了多種形式的金融合作。亞洲基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施投資銀行已經(jīng)為“一帶一路”建設(shè)參與國的9個項目提供17億美元貸款。

Trade between China and other Belt and Road countries exceeded 3 trillion U.S. dollars in the 2014-2016 period, and China's investment in these countries surpassed 50 billion dollars. Chinese companies have set up 56 economic cooperation zones in over 20 countries, generating some 1.1 billion dollars of tax revenue and 180,000 jobs for them. China has engaged in multiple forms of financial cooperation with countries and organizations involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have provided 1.7 billion dollars of loans for nine projects in Belt and Road countries.
